"As a group of overworked Mom's we came here in hopes a week end full of fun and relaxation. What we actually experienced was so much more... Leaving might be one of the hardest things we've had to do! Good food, good friends, good times here at Madrona Cove House. We cannot wait for next year when once again we can escape the realities and come to a place where nature, life, love, beauty and rest are at our fingertips. "Woohoo" what a weekend! Familiarity must breed more comfort and fun. We loved berry pie from Seagirt berries just down the road, kayaking with Rush adventures, Sushi on the Sea (call when you arrive they only serve Friday & Saturday and fill up fast) arrive with an appetite & prepare to share the evening with one big group, it's fun sailing with Explore Charters in Sooke is fun. Captain Ralph Hull's boat is far from fancy but he knows his skill as a sailor & he's a fun and gracious host. East Sooke Park hike is beautiful and a nice cardio challenge. Matheson Lake is beautiful for swimming, the water is warm. The Sooke Potholes can't be missed for swimming & jumping from the cliffs for the less that faint of heart. Dinners at Markus Warfside & Sooke Harbour house are both special treats. Trinita & Jeff as always there could not be more gracious hosts. The special spirit of Madrona Cove lives in and through you.
