Getting Here

• Madrona Cove House is located at 6084 Timberdoodle Rd. Sooke., BC, approximately 35 minutes (by car) southwest of Victoria. Latitude 48.22.23 Longitude -123.40.33.4. Depending on where you arrive on the island these directions will take you to the house.
• From the BC & Washington State ferry or the Victoria International airport, travel towards Victoria until you reach the Hwy 1 turnoff.
• Take the Hwy 1 turnoff onto Mackenzie and follow this road until you see the signs for Naniamo.
• From the Inner harbour Ferry terminals or the float plane airports turn right and take Douglas Street. Travel towards Nanaimo and take the Sooke / Langford exit to Hwy. 14. (You can also take exit # 10 through Colwood this will put you straight on to Sooke Road. This way you will pass Thrifty Foods on your right. And the following directions resume at Veterans Memorial Parkway..but do not turn stay on Sooke road)
• If you take Exit 14 - Follow this road (Veterans Memorial Parkway) to Sooke Rd. (4 kms). Along this stretch of the Veterans Memorial Parkway you will see Canadian Superstore (big box grocery store) in the Can West Mall - also visible from the road is the Fairway Market another grocery store.
• Once you get to Sooke Rd., turn right and travel 13 kms until you see the 17 Mile House and just past there you will see a small road sign for East Sooke and Gillespie road.
• Turn left here and follow along Gillespie Road for 5.6 kms to East Sooke Road. Turn right and travel 3.7 kms. Just past the Fire Truck sign (which is just an image on the right hand side of the road) turn right onto Timberdoodle Rd. Coppermine Rd. is to the right (the sign seems to be rather collectable and has disappeared on several occasions).
• Stay on the upper side of the road at the fork, the lower side is Woodcock Road. Madrona Cove House is 6084 Timberdoodle Rd. at the end of the road. Proceed slowly all the way down the steep driveway. At the bottom you will find Madrona Cove House on the Sooke Basin.
